Murder

Sam and I comitted a murder today. Well, actually, I was the one who actually did the dirty deed, but Sam disposed of the corpse. Place: our bedroom. Weapon: my shoe. Victim: a huge cockroach! This is the first (and I hope last) sighting of the dread creatures in our abode. Maybe the example we made of him will instill enough fear and dread in the others that they will not rear their ugly heads here again. I doubt it. That tactic may work in China, but I doubt it works among the insect-kind. Well, I guess we will see. I hope I don't have to kill again, because with the size of that sucker it really did feel more like homicide than merely squashing a bug...

Hahah I can hardly kill a spider without being grossed out and convinced it's going to send out a last minute message to its buddies that they should attack me. Good luck and well done!

And I thought NY broke you in with roaches!??! Ha ha. Did you know that bay leaves help to repel roaches? Put them all over in corners, bookshelves, in food containers... everywhere. I hope this helps. Don't ask why... I have been studying herbal and scent treatments...

AMY!!! I LOVE reading your blog! This post cracked me up! (o: I think you did the right thing...I don't view you as a murderer in the least! And, I hope that does the trick to scare away the others.... Also, thanks for your fabulous post under my NCLEX story! (o: I'd totally give you all my notes pages, but....I tossed them shortly after I got the good news. (o: Due to my 'pack-rat' tendencies, I debated saving them but ended up deciding I needed to toss them. It was a 'fun' way to study so I'd recommend making some! (o: When are you planning to take the NCLEX? And, CONGRATULATIONS on your baby girl!! That is so exciting!! You and Sam will be an awesome Mommy and Daddy!! Congratulations again! I hope all goes well with that! I wish I was closer so I could visit with you in person!! (although I still don't think you'd want me to help deliver!! I don't remember what to do with the mommies....only the babies!) I hope you are having a wonderful day!!
