No Baby Yet, So...

So I am STILL pregnant. Our little girl is determined not to return with us to China (if she stays in there past Friday we will have no way to get her passport and visa paperwork done in time before we go!) Little does she know, she is only postponing the inevitable -- if she doesn't choose to come on her own, we will have to induce on Friday July 10th. We hope she will just come on her own before then.

Anyway, since we don't have exciting pictures of our posterity to post, I thought I would post this nearly-as-exciting couple of pictures from a Zoo in Shenzhen. Now before you think "Hey, China and America are pretty similar; they both have Zoos", get a load of these pictures Sam took of one of the performances at the Zoo.

Here we see several nice pigs gathering to gaze at the water below...
And then...

Yeah, not sure what to think about this. But check out that form!! Legs extended and all! And from a hog that size!
After the show, Sam's colleagues were concerned that Sam was offended by the display. Sam informed them that no, he was not offended, merely surprised by how much more talented Chinese pigs are than American pigs.
Well, hopefully our next post will involve news of the birth of our little girl, and be a little less disturbing...

Hang in there, Amy! I guess now is the time that all stops come out in getting that kid out of you, right? :) I've heard from more than one source that eating the Eggplant Parmigiana at Olive Garden has been effective in sending a person into labor. No promises, but certainly an excellent excuse to eat out (unless you absolutely hate egg plant) :) And just so you know, I am a true believer that everything about a baby's delivery shows their personality, including the timing and circumstances of their grand entrance. You might have a very chill kid on your hands... or a procrastinator. Hopefully the former! And very talented pigs... I was at the zoo today and certainly didn't see anything nearly that entertaining.

Are you kidding me?? This is craziness...I keep asking my mom if she's heard cuz I thought for sure you would have had your baby early if not right on time. Well, good luck on Friday, hopefully she decides to come before, I hope everything goes smoothly!!

Do the pigs in China offer lessons?

I've heard black cohosh is seriously horrible, nasty stuff...so bad that even babies hate it and they decide to evacuate immediately. Raspberry tea is supposed to work too. And swinging on swings. And...well, I'm sure you've tried other things. I hope your delivery is as comfortable and beautiful as possible and that you have a safe trip home! Loves!

wow! if you can't have a baby, what more could you ask for than diving pigs?

I hope all goes well for you guys and that the baby has a nice, smooth welcome into the world. We will be thinking of you this week.
